| Wow it has truly been a long long time, just to update. My knee has been acting up so I am wearing a knee brace every day, (what fun). At officers councils the first night, I fell and tore the cartilidge in my rib cage area so was on pain pills and no driving, lifting, basically most types of work as it hurt just to breath. In fact I slept in a recliner for four weeks. But am doing better. so hopefully will get back on track with posting and staying in contact with my friends. Blessings to you all. | | |
| Well, I will try to upload pictures, let's see, Here is Joe at 4 corners on the way to Colorado I forgot to turn the pictures, but I love waterfalls, (you can tell this is my first time uploading pictures, my kids are to help me.) This is Treasure Falls, we hiked up close to the top the view looking over the valley close to the top of Treasure falls  At the lookout at Treasure Falls One of the beautiful evenings outside of Pagosa Springs  And another spectacular view of BEAUTIFUL COLO.
We do not get views like this in the High Desert, so we were loving it. We have more pictures but didn't want to bore anyone. Thanks for asking Dan, now I can do this. | | |
| Vacation Vacation, wow it was WONDERFUL. We spent 5 days up in Pagosa Springs in CO, no cell phone reception, no internet, unless you spent the day at the Coffee place. But we were too busy hiking to waterfalls, sightseeing in the beautiful mountains with lots and lots of green trees. Of course we come from the desert where if you want to see a green tree, you have to cut a picture out of the magazine. (just kidding) but it was a wonderful time. Missed my kids and grandkids, but they were fine. Well back to work now. | | |
| Today should be interesting, was planning to go to the office and get some work done, then off to Kiwanis to pick up the food they are giving for our food drive. They support us so much, it is great. But life is full of changes. SO I am staying home this morning and listening to my 3 grandchildren playing the Wii games, I do not know who is louder the game itself or the kids, but they are getting along so that is good. My other grandchild, Katie, is quietly playing with her Barbies, I am going to take her to Kiwanis with me as she is a doll and they will all love her. She is so funny, we had to put medicine in her ear this morning, and she told me that she had to hold her head tilted for 5 minutes after we put the medicine in. She counted to 10 5 times and that was the 5 minutes. Well off to make sure they all have breakfast and remember the rules about the games. So no office this morning, but we are going to see the movie Transformers today. Sounds like fun. Have a great day, | | |
| Wow, thanks to all who responded to my post. It is refreshing to know that I am not the only person out there trying to do what I need to do, but by myself. I was encouraged to read the other comments, thank you once again friends. Of course DHQ does our budgets, and it is hard to get a response from them when you want to make changes, but I will see if they will write in for a YD for this next year. I will remain faithful and also faithful in praying for each of you. You are right, God knows and cares for these children even if it seems their parents don't. | | |
